Keeps it simple, smart—and honest

John, who is both the project coordinator for Vercon Construction Management Inc., as well as a licensed Florida realtor for Macken Realty, wears both hats very well. The “young Turk” does all the marketing and development for Vercon projects and oversees sales until sell out—and he has a great track record for selling out projects before groundbreaking.

When starting a new project for Vercon, John is involved with the land acquisition and coordinates the approval process until City Commission approves. After City Commission approval John and his marketing team works on a theme for the new development. Finally, John and his sales team start sales and see it through complete sell out.

Growing up in Aventura, he witnessed the successes of real estate developers such as Don Soffer (Turnberry) and William Trump (Williams Island), and they became his idols. At University of Florida John earned a degree in finance and another in real estate. Both specialties have helped him in his career. “Investors like me,” he quips, “because I make money for them. And I do it,” he adds, “by keeping it simple, smart—and always honest.”
